The X-ray Cluster in Front of PG1407+265
We present X-ray and optical observations of a cluster of galaxies in the foreground of the bright weak-line quasar PG1407+265. The cluster has a luminosity of 1044 erg/s and a redshift of 0.68.
It was undetected in previous X-ray surveys and required the high spatial resolution of Chandra to disentangle it from the glare of the quasar.
