Near-Earth Object Exploration Leading to Human Visits
Current NASA human spaceflight (HSF) exploration roadmaps omit near-Earth objects (NEOs) as destinations, leaving a formidable capability gap between the Moon and Mars. A dual-mission strategy is presented whereby scientific return is enhanced while the most compelling NEO destinations are employed as steppingstones on the HSF path to Mars.
