we argue for studying Jupiter’s moon Io using passive radar. Jupiter is the second strongest source of radio noise within our Solar System, after the Sun itself. As passive radar sounding has the potential to operate with low power consumption and robust hardware, which is crucial in an environment like Jupiter.
