End-member volcanism in the absence of plate tectonics: Silicic volcanism on the Moon

Here we give an overview of current state of knowledge about silicic volcanism on the Moon and why targeted studies are needed to answer outstanding questions about the evolution of the lunar interior and how silicic magmatism occurs on one-plate planets in our solar system.
