Calypso Venus Scout

This is a mission to explore the surface of Venus from low altitudes. A camera-carrying Descent Module will scout the surface from the end of a 40-kilometer tether. The Deployment Balloon will be at high altitude and will not need to be fortified against the High-T and High-P of Venus’ lower atmosphere.
