Precise and Safe Landing Navigation Technologies for Solar System Exploration
Precise and safe landing technologies enable exploration where terrain hazards or pre-deployed assets pose risks to touchdown and operations. NASA investments over 15 years will result in TRL 8–9 in 2021–2024 with component demonstrations on Mars 2020 and CLPS missions, enabling increased surface access, reduced risk and greater science return.
