Space Weathering at the Moon: Priorities for Interdisciplinary Heliophysics and Planetary Science Research

The effects of space weathering complicate (or even prevent) the interpretation of compositional remote sensing, or the role of space weathering in the production, destruction, and cycling of volatiles on the surface of the Moon. Each of these mechanisms make the interplay between space weathering studies from the perspective of heliophysics and future lunar exploration a critical endeavor.
