Smarter Onboard Science to Increase Science Yield
High resolution high cadence instruments create too much raw data, and science yield can be greatly increased with onboard smart processing to create high value data products. NASA can provide avenues for improving the TRLs for smarter onboard science through ROSES, facilitating research and publication, and encouraging how flight software can be updated during extended mission phases.
