Intelligent Missions in the Living Heliospheric System Observatory
This white paper outlines how we would like to see ML rise to the same level as Theory, Experiment, and Modeling within Heliophysics, particularly when it comes to PI-led mission design. We provide a vision of how the Heliophysics System Observatory can achieve these needs with suggestions of how to incorporate ML into ground and in-flight operations and to utilize past mission data.
