Helioseismology of the solar poles

The ability of helioseismology to address important questions about the structure and dynamics of the solar interior at high latitudes is limited by the ecliptic vantage point of all existing observations. Data sets suitable for helioseismology taken from a polar vantage point would allow significant advances in studying these regions and constraining models of solar activity and magnetism.
