The Next Decade of Solar Ultraviolet Spectral Irradiance — Continuity, Modeling, and Physics
Solar spectral irradiance (SSI) has demonstrated a wide range of science advances spanning all NASA Science Disciplines. Additional measurements of solar spectral variability are needed to be made over the coming decade to continue to drive advances. The problem is that there are now significant ‘holes’ in the solar UV spectral irradiance coverage that is not currently measured or planed to be.
