STP Mission Concept: A Remote-sensing Ionospheric Network in Geospace
We propose a conceptual Remote-Sensing Ionospheric Network in Geospace (RING) mission for the Solar-Terrestrial Probes Program to observe the global electromagnetic and kinetic energy inputs, and the global ionospheric system response. The proposed constellation consists of 100+ observing platforms in low Earth orbit to determine global E, dB, and particles, plus 3D electron density.
