Improved Observational Coverage of the Solar Magnetic Field

Full-disk magnetograms are only routinely available along the Sun-Earth line. The lack of 360 deg and 4pi steradian coverage introduces large systematic errors in models of the global coronal magnetic field, solar wind, coronal mass ejections and energetic particle events. A systems approach and community driven modeling effort is needed to determine a constellation mission to fill this gap.
