4D-Imaging of Earth’s Space-Atmosphere Interaction Region
This White Paper describes a new array of three geophysical observatories currently being readied for deployment to northern Scandinavia, in support of the EISCAT-3D initiative. Multiple parameters of Earth’s ionosphere and thermosphere will be measured, with the flagship product being 4D (lon, lat, alt, time) imaging of 3-component vector winds throughout the EISCAT-3D study volume.
