CME Origins and Propagation: Importance of the Polar Perspective

Near-polar perspective imaging is critical to understanding CMEs, their onset, their interaction with the solar corona, and their propagation across the inner heliosphere. We highlight several areas that require polar imaging for advancement, and recommend measurements needed from a polar vantage to advance CME physics and the applied physics of space weather forecasting.
