A Geospace Radar NSF Midscale Project
We outline a proposal for a Geospace Radar to update the existing NSF AGS Facilities. The whitepaper reviews conclusions from a recent NSF-sponsored workshop and then focuses on the science objectives that could be met with a Geospace Radar deployed in the subauroral zone and the technological developments required to realize it. Workforce development surrounding the project is emphasized.
