Shock Waves Propagation Beyond the Heliosphere: How Far Does the Sun’s Influence Extend into the Interstellar Medium?
This white paper is about the propagation of shock waves in the outer heliosphere and the very local interstellar medium (VLISM). We present how their structure would change as they propagate in different medium. We propose a need for a future dedicated mission to venture far from the Sun and make new discoveries about the shocks in the outer heliosphere and VLISM.
