Next-Generation Ionosphere Radio Sensors Based on the Software-Defined Radio Platform

The advent of software-defined radio (SDR) platforms has opened new avenues for the easy-to-configure, low-SWaP beacon systems design suitable for small satellites and ground arrays. Next-generation SDR-based radio sensors with the deployment of a large constellation of small satellites allows for ionosphere imaging necessary for ionosphere specification and multi-frequency scintillation studies.
