Auroral Imaging Suite (AIS)

The Auroral Instrument Suite comprises two satellites, providing continuous multiple wavelength measurements of the entire Earth’s northern auroral region. Auroral emissions provide quantitative measures of energy and particle deposition into the ionosphere, associated with changes in conductivity and large-scale currents. Such knowledge of auroral activity changes provides actionable information.
