Accurate space weather forecasts must include measurements of the temporal and spatial evolution of the ionosphere and thermosphere system. A constellation of UV airglow profilers can create continuous, routine, 3D space weather maps to inform scientific and operational interests. New investment to develop these compact remote sensors will lead to a next-generation space weather mapping network.
