Critical needs for radiation monitoring from the surface to LEO to aid operational systems

Radiation exposure is a natural hazard for flights from the atmosphere to space. Multiple sources of ionizing radiation contribute dose exposure. Mature measurement capabilities exist for providing radiation monitoring, but none are continuous within the atmosphere. A new, dedicated vehicle needs to be built for continuous radiation monitoring.
