Revitalization and Continuation of Polar Cap Science from the Resolute Bay Observatory

The Resolute Bay Observatory (RBO) in Resolute Bay, Nunavut, Canada provides a unique location for polar cap science. The facility is greatly in need of additional investment and revitalization, especially if operations are to continue into the GDC era. We estimate that a revitalization plan would be comparable in expense to a facility in the NSF Mid-Scale 1 funding line.
