Early Flare Physics and Flare Alerts
We advocate for the development of near-term flare predictions: predictions that are more actionable than long-term forecasts and provide earlier notice than current flare alerts do. These predictions will provide insight into early flare physics and value for a range of applications, including coordinated observing campaigns, solar instrument technology development, and space weather alerts.
