Global Airglow Thermosphere Ionosphere Mission (GATI)
This white paper describes a concept of high-orbit limb-scan instrument: Global Airglow Thermosphere Ionosphere mission (GATI) which will measure the thermospheric winds (200 to 300 km altitude) by recording wind induced Doppler shift in the O 630 nm airglow emission day and night.
