The HaloSat Mission Data Archive

HaloSat was a NASA funded University of Iowa 6U CubeSat designed to detect soft X-rays from extended sources such as the circumgalactic medium (CGM). The satellite was deployed from the International Space Station in July 2018 and performed an all-sky survey before re-entering the Earth’s atmosphere in January 2021. The final updates to the data archive for HaloSat is being delivered to the High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC). The archive consists of a total of 411 observed fields and is accompanied by updates to the instrumental responses. The archive will also include high-level science results, the first of which is a catalog of diffuse oxygen lines (OVII and OVIII) for the high-latitude CGM fields.
