Impact of LMC and Sagittarius dwarf on Milky Way’s satellites and their tidal streams.
A wealth of recent studies have shown that the infall of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) and Sagittarius (Sgr) dwarf galaxy has a substantial effect on the Milky Way, and the stellar halo of the Milky Way is significantly out of equilibrium. In this talk, I will discuss how the LMC and Sgr impact the Milky Way’s satellites and their tidal streams. I will end my talk with an open discussion on the origin of the triaxial shape of the dwarf galaxies in the Milky Way.
