Presentation #105.01 in the session Daytime and Dark Sky Heritage in American Southwestern Archaeoastronomy.
For 34 years the presenter has lived and worked in Chaco Culture National Historical Park in northwestern New Mexico. The studies of the ancient people’s astronomy has become his area of expertise. What was Chaco really, and why should we care about their astronomy? This presentation is a story of exploring those questions and how the modern world stands to gain from what ancient people are still offering.
