Archaeoastronomy and International Dark Sky Places
The International Dark-Sky Association has certified over 200 locations worldwide as International Dark Sky Communities, Parks, Sanctuaries, Reserves, and Urban Night Sky Places. Some of these sites have significant archaeoastronomical significance, which tells us how ancient peoples tracked the movement of celestial bodies in various ways for various purposes.
