Presentation #203.05 in the session Instrumentation I.
The Magdalena Ridge Observatory Interferometer (MROI) is an optical and near Infrared interferometer under construction near Magdalena, New Mexico that will consist of 10 telescopes when completed. The first stage of MROI’s construction, funded under a cooperative agreement with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), consists of three telescopes. MROI’s first generation beam combiner for simultaneous observations in the J, H, and K bands is called the Free-space Optical multi-apertUre combineR for IntERferometry (FOURIER). In preparation for first fringes this Summer at MROI we are developing a data reduction pipeline for FOURIER. We present an overview of the FOURIER data reduction pipeline it’s design philosophy, science goals, and challenges.
