Presentation #212.01 in the session First Results from the JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey.
In light of the upcoming JWST Cycle 3 call for proposals, the JADES Collaboration is releasing data from their program on GOODS-S including raw data, image mosaics, spectra, and catalogs. The overall program will be described. The JADES program has already yielded a number of intriguing results with several surprises such as carbonaceous grains seen at z~7 and significant numbers of galaxy candidates with redshifts above 10. Image quality metrics, and imaging and spectroscopic sensitivity will be presented. Issues that had to be overcome in data reduction will be discussed. Expectations for Cycle 2 observing which will complete the JADES program will be presented.
