Presentation #313.02 in the session Highlighting Open Science Success Stories and Challenges from Researchers and Community.
We present a summary of open science at NSF Facilities and facilitated through our grants programs, including ground-based optical/infrared telescopes at NSF’s NOIRLab and NSO, and radio telescopes at NSF’s NRAO. We will discuss the open skies policies currently in existence at NSF facilities, open data access current and future plans, and recent efforts towards computational tools. We will conclude by summarizing ongoing efforts, especially for newly commissioned and soon-to-be commissioned telescopes, including challenges.
