Strongly Magnetic Hydrogen Line Shapes in WD Regimes: A First Look

About one-fourth of all DAs are magnetic, and a little over 70% of those magnetic WDs have field strengths at or above 1 MG. These strong magnetic fields make it difficult to extract information from fits of model atmospheres to observed spectra, as we currently lack an accurate model for line shapes with Stark+Zeeman overlap. Here we present on some first results for hydrogen line shapes in strong magnetic fields within WD temperature and density regimes.
