Investigating Ion acoustic Wave properties using parker solar probe fields data

Fields data from parker solar probe (psp) was investigated using a python script to attain properties of the waves. These properties were then used to determine the type of wave being observed. Some of the properties observed were the the angle with respect to the V1-V2 boom, the angle with respect to the magnetic field, the speed of the wave, ect. A Hamiltonian particle simulation is being used to simulate Ion Acoustic wave packets, properties from the python script will be implemented into the particle simulation to better match what is being seen by psp. Using the particle simulation we can observe how these ions acoustic waves excite ion populations. The python script has been used to get large data sets of these waves, these properties still need to be implemented to the particle simulation to see how these wave excite ions.
