Alexander Prize: Results from Monitoring the Giant Planets with Hubble

Outer planet atmospheres are dynamic, time variable, and unpredictable on long and short timescales. The best way to understand what drives the observed weather and how it is tied to seasons, climate cycles, and other forcing, is with high spatial resolution monitoring over a broad wavelength range and with consistent facilities. This talk will describe the studies and work that led to creating the Outer Planet Atmospheres Legacy program on Hubble and the results beginning to merge from nearly a decade of outer planet observations.
