Tools to Analyse and Inform the Gravitational Wave Follow up using latest and upcoming Astronomical Surveys

The electromagnetic (EM) follow ups of the gravitational wave (GW) events have opened the doors to multi messenger astronomy that have potential to further our understanding of diverse problems in astrophysics and cosmology. With the inflow of astronomical data from the follow up surveys and race to discover the GW transients, it is imperative to develop and utilize the analysis and computational tools to their maximum potential in this rapidly evolving and fact-paced field. This talk will be centered around the revival of the computational tools developed during past LIGO/Virgo observing runs that played key role in analysis of the EM candidates discovered using Dark Energy Camera (DECam) and explore the potential of these tools to extend their usage to inform the kilonova search strategies. This follows into the discussion of another set of simulation tools developed for the upcoming Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) camera that when integrated with pre-mentioned tools presents a potential to simulate and analyse follow up strategies to inform the optimum usage of survey tools in the era of LSST alongside other available cameras like DECam.
