AstroSat SXT Observations of Hercules X-1

The Soft X-ray Telescope (SXT) on the AstroSat observatory, launched in Sept. 2015, has observed Hercules X-1 over the past 8 years on multiple occasions during different phases of the 35-day cycle. We produce multiband X-ray light-curves from the SXT observations for Main High, Short High and Low States, as well as Main High Turn-on. We extract spectra for the different states as well as for dips during Main High and Short High. Finally, we compare eclipse light-curves for Main High, Short High and Low states to determine the change in the extended (coronal) X-ray flux during mid-eclipse. The latter is interpreted in terms of the different rotation phase of the accretion disk with 35-day phase.
