Multi-messenger astronomy with the LISA gravitational wave observatory

The ESA-led Laser Interferometer Space Antenna is currently under construction, and work is shifting into high gear to prepare to deliver accurate and rapid detection and localization of binary black hole mergers in the hope that electromagnetic counterparts can be found. I will describe the current status of the prototype analysis pipeline, and preview possible observing scenarios when LISA flies next decade.
