Presentation #306.01 in the session Tidal Disruption Events Across the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
The X-ray band holds an important role in finding Tidal Disruption Events (TDEs) and studying the physical processes that give rise to their diverse emission properties. They were initially discovered in the X-rays with ROSAT, with later sources uncovered by XMM and Swift. The eROSITA all-sky survey, by its sensitive and homogenous multi-epoch sky-coverage, now offers the opportunity to explore the TDE population with a sizeable, systematically selected sample. In this talk, I will summarise the current observational status of the X-ray properties of TDEs with emphasis on the recent results from the eROSITA all-sky survey. I will present highlights from individual sources, including repeating partial TDEs, and show the results of the TDE population study.
