Presentation #306.02 in the session Tidal Disruption Events Across the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
We constructed the largest complete, flux limited sample of 33 optical-ultraviolet tidal disruption events using the Zwicky Transient Facility. With this sample, we update the optical-ultraviolet TDE rate, luminosity function, and inferred the shape of the local black hole mass function. We summarize additional novel results seen in this systematically selected sample, including a partial TDE with two flares separated by three years, a few events where the redder emission peaks later than the bluer emission, as well as some events with long-lasting late-time plateaus. We discuss the implications of these results in the context of stream collision, circularization and accretion disk evolution in TDEs.
