Compression Particle Acceleration in Magnetic Turbulence

We carry out numerical simulations using a new computational method to consider particle acceleration and transport in magnetic turbulence including the feedback from energetic particles. This approach considers the backreaction from these energetic particles by incorporating the non-thermal fluid pressure into Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) equations. The pressure of the non-thermal fluid is evaluated from their energy distribution evolved through Parker’s transport equation, which is solved using stochastic differential equations. We will discuss results for different turbulence properties and fraction of nonthermal particles.
